ZGC currently offers the following services:
- groundwater resource/hydrogeology evaluation and aquifer mapping - regional, county-wide or ranch/farm-specific
- paleontological resource management and compliance, including desktop review, pedestrian survey and on-site monitoring
- geologic mapping (specialty in Upper Paleozoic and Mesozoic sedimentary rocks)
- well log cutting identification and subsurface stratigraphic analyses
- field-based educational excursions
- rock, mineral identification for archaeological materials, provenance analysis
- conservation easement assessments for New Mexico and eastern Arizona

For paleontological resource management projects, ZGC carries a state-wide annual BLM paleontology permit for New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado, and can mobilize to job sites rapidly.
Groundwater Resource Management Projects for Agriculture
ZGC is currently working with multiple Soil & Water Conservation Districts in northeastern and eastern New Mexico, as well as southeastern Colorado. We have been partnered with the Northeastern SWCD for 14 years and have developed sister projects in Mora, Harding, Colfax, Quay, and Las Animas Counties. We are also partnered with multiple ranches to assist in developing appropriate groundwater resource strategies to match crop and range management plans.
Hermit's Peak-Calf Canyon Fire Recovery
ZGC is working to support our landowners and communities in western Mora County who have been impacted by the Hermit's Peak-Calf Canyon Fire. We are monitoring water levels and water quality throughout the burn scar with assistance from various entities. If you are in or near the burn scar and have questions about your well(s), please don't hesitate to reach out.
